Learning the game

Hi it's Corben again.

We've been away on holiday in North Wales. We visited Harlch castle.

My dad has been teaching me 40k. I've learned moving and shooting so far.

I like playing 40k with my dad.

(Not much done on the hobby front with us having a long camping holiday but I picked up the new rulebook and we've been slowly learning the rules together. So far I've taught little man the basics of moving, running and moving difficult terrain along with a little introduction to shooting. He's definitely hooked although I'm quite worried as he's a natural 6 fairy. Little man setup the table above using the old childrens saying of 'more is more!'.)

Eldar Resurrected

There must be something in the water as everyone around me seems renewed with hobby vigour. My brother called over with his Eldar army that hasn't seen the light of day for nearly four years. I'd forgot how big his army was.

After quite a bit of gluing, most of the broken limbs and weapons were repaired, he'd been keeping them in a shoe box! All the vehicles need remounting, so that's the next job. Painting wise there's a couple of vehicles that need finishing and the aspect warriors could do with a touch up but otherwise they're pretty much ok for gaming.

Hopefully, I'll be bringing you more pics as he revamps his army soon guys.

Throwing this one out to blogosphere. Little man got these from a car boot sale that he went to with his nan a few weeks ago.

I'm struggling to find out much about them, have any of you come across Black Baron models before?

We used special molds to make the bricks.

These are the bricks we made with the molds.

It's been a while, is anyone still here?

It's been a while, is anyone still here?

Well, obviously I've not blogged in a while but I thought I'd give it another go since me and my little man have got into hobbying together. I'll be honest, we haven't done much on the 40k side but with my brother rekindling his Eldar interests and the release of 6th ed, that could possibly change. What's 6th ed like anyway?

So, what have we been up to, well there's been a little bit of this (Thanks Sam) ....
