For whom the bell tolls

The bell has been rung and I have heard it's call. Yes, that's right folks, the Colonel's gone and got another posting. Bigred, over at Bols has asked me to come on board as a regular contributor to their blog.

I'll be posting all about the non-competitive side of the hobby, everything from narrative gaming to homebrew rules. The first few are already in the bag and you should be seeing the first go live on Bols over the weekend.

Hope you like it guys!

So does this mean that you will no longer be here on Corbania Prime?

makes sense to me as I find it hard to shift through BLOS at times.

Finally! A real reason for going to their site!

I felt like something big was lacking on their site, but with your contribution I think that goes a long way to filling it. Was a good read, looking forward to reading more!

Nice article.

Inject some real creativity into the zombified minds of the "must crush opponent" leaf-blower crowd, would ya?

Guess people will stop visiting here then.

Nice opening article on BoLS! I always remember going to GW one day and wondering what had happened to the AD&D stuff they used to sell...

Good post over at BOLS, thought Provoking. I played 1st ed 40k when it came out ad was already an avid (some might say Fanatical) Role player. I didn't like it because I felt it was unbalanced. They had failed to achieve a mix between RP and WG that left the game playable. I drifted back into WH40K in time for 3rd Ed and have watched the changed through fourth and into fifth ed. The Balance is now quite good I think. But I still come away from games feeling like there should be more. Perhaps its the ghost of the roleplayer in me still sensing the shadow of the Role playing elements in the game.

Thanks guys.

@sonoftaurus - Cheers mate, I'm a little bit different to their normal writers, it's going well so far.

@ranger rob - Thanks matey.

@HotPanda - Not at all mate, I'll still be posting all my hobby stuff here. The stuff I'll post on Bols will be about noncomp gaming and not something I'll post on here anyway.

@Blitzspear - Probably not mate although I have given my posts their own tag, so I might whack a link up straight to the search label, so it just lists my posts.

@Admiral Drax - I love that episode! It's more the keyboard warriors I'm worried about, I've already got one antifan - lol.

@CanolliCrusader - Not that big mate, just more meat for the Bols grinder. LOL

@Soundwave - Cheers mate, most of the guys seem to like where I'm going with it. Time will tell.

@Dryw - Cheers mate, glad you liked it.

@Lee - I hope not mate but if they do, will the last one out switch the light off please!

@JabberJabber - Thanks mate, here's hoping the rest go as well and I remember those days too - fondly.

@W39999 - Thanks mate, hopefully, I can keep them coming.

@SonoftheLion - Cheers mate, glad it's psyk'd you up, enjoy the campaign.

@CommissarHarris - Thanks matey, I don't think us oldtimers ever get rid of that RP vibe! Happy days.
