I've finally finished the first of my StarStreak Hydra's ......
It's been over a year since I last painted a model (time really does fly), so this one's a biggy for me. I'll be honest, I don't feel it's as good as my other models, mainly because I was relearning how to paint as I was painting it. Anyhow, I'm chuffed nonetheless, time to see how it fares in this afternoon's game, although I'm actually thinking of fielding it as a manticore.
Now all I've got to do is finish Harker's squad before Blog Wars.

That's really good Colonel. I think painting is like bike riding, you never really forget it. I would probably add some dust/mud effects to add some tone variations on the model but overall it looks neat :)
Even if it's not your personal best, it still looks pretty good man. Those colors go really well together and the conversion is very nice.
Great job!
I have say that you are one hell of a teacher and a student at the same time. The model looks amazing. Great work.
Great looking tank! Looking forward to seeing your vets :)
Good looking Manticore I reckon. May just be seeing you at Blog Wars too!
awesome work, I want to make one or two myself.
@Antipope - Cheers mate, it's slowly coming back to me, I've just got to stick with it. I'd like to try more weathering but that would mean going back across the entire army which would be a nightmare job right now. Maybe in the future ;-)
@POK - Thanks mate, glad you liked it.
@HOTpanda - Cheers mate, can you drop me an email when you've got a sec.
@CD - Cheers mate, I'm working on the vets right now :-)
@SH - Thanks mate, hopefully, I'll see you there.
@JRV - Thanks mate, got for it and if you do, post the pics.
looks darn good to me! love your posts!!!!
Super cool. Nice to see the sweet finished product and nice that you have some momentum again.
Very nice work indeed and good to see you painting again.
Good looking Manticore, and you cant tell at all that you are 'relearning'
This looks awesome. I think I may have to steal this for my Guard.
