So, as part of the half-term holidays, I've been getting in some serious hobby time with my lad.
I had promised him that we'd build one of my guard vehicles but when we dug it out, it appears that the floor is missing from the sprue.
I know it's a long shot, but do any of you guys got a spare old school chimera floor that you wouldn't mind selling?
If not, if anyone can give me the dimensions etc so I can attempt to reconstruct it out of plasticard please.
Thanks in advance guys
Col

That's no good, is it. Was that second hand?
Well I'm afraid I haven't got one but I had a similar situation last year building a Salamander kit - I bought one from BitzBox for a few pounds, maybe that might be the way to go?

Hope it comes out okay in the end!
If you haven't gotten them by the time I am home, I can definitely send the dimensions.
the piece is 49mm wide.
The Baseboard is 68mm long (not counting the seam rivet strips).
Rivet strips are 5mm wide spaces 35mm apart, one of which hangs off the end of the baseboard by 3mm.
The rivet strips are .75mm thick.
The slopped front section is 20mm in the long section and 14mm in the short section, the long section is 29mm wide.
the support stripping is 1mm wide and would probably be easier to align to the dozer blade then by measurements.
I hope those measurements are clear enough ^^; I can mark up a picture if that'd help. I don't have a protractor handy to give the angle of the front section.
Good Luck!
If you bought it from a GW store or even a lgs, if you call GW they will usually send you the missing sprue no questions asked
I have that part Colonel, you got a way to send me your address w/o advertising it to the world so that I can send it to you?
See, this is why I love Blogs. So many helpful people out there!
sorry I can't help out, but it looks like you will get there on this one :D
@Col Scipio - I hadn't even thought of the bits sellers, thanks for the link mate
@Tristian - Thanks for the offer mate
@Oniakki - Wow, that's a serious comprehensive set of measurements mate, thanks for taking the time to make them mate
@Havik - unfortunately it's the old school style chimera that they don't make anymore, so I doubt they could help. If it was the new style, I wouldn't hesitate mate
