He ain't heavy, he's my brother!

Work continues on 462 Field Ambulance with the next conversion, a pair of stretcher bearers.

Overall, I'm quite pleased, the arm poses are a little iffy but they're from the heavy weapons gunners as they were the only arms that were the same on both sides. I'm not sure on the field dressing green stuff sculpt, it looks a bit chunky but I'll only be able to tell for sure once it's painted up.

Once I've got these guys done, all I'll have to do to finish the project is do the treatment tent, so the hunt for the perfect babywipes has already begun. Painted pics coming soon guys.

Cool conversion! I think the big dressing will work quite well.

Looking forward to see this painted!

Really cool conversion dude. Any chance of a "How to"?

I agree with Zombieburger. The bandage looks perfect. Bulky dressings are not uncommon in battlefield medical care.

I agree with Paul Chana, you really should do a how to post for this model. While not everyone might be interested in doing one, those who would, will really appreciate the techniques you used to create this model.

Great stuff, as always.

Do you use models like this in the game, or are they display only pieces? If you use them in game, would they be religated to objectives, or do you come up with special rules for them?

All of the hospital conversions are top notch... Really inspiring...

First Field Dressings are notoriously chunky, and rightly so...but maybe you might shave the bandage down a little - might that help?

@Zombieburger - Cheers mate, it shouldn't take long to paint up.

@Paul Chana - Thanks mate, not sure on the how to as I didn't really take any pics as it was such a simple conversion. Soz mate.

@Jmezz382 - It's not a the bulky dressing I have an issue with, more the banadge that's securing it. I spent an hour trying to get that strap right.

@Magilla Gurilla - It really was a simple conversion. First the heavy weapons arms were split, the handles removed and then the hands were drilled through. I used a piece of brass rod to make the bars of the stretcher. Then a babywipe was cut to size, initially glued to the bars with superglue and then once set, pva was spread on the wipe to firm it up. Nothing special really mate.

@W39,999 - Thanks mate. I won't be using them in normal games but me and a couple of friends are working on a set of advanced 40k skirmish rules, so I can see them fitting into that quite well.

@Clt40k - Thanks mate, only the tent to do and then the project will be complete.

@Admiral Drax - Yeah mate, I've seen some full ones in my time, I don't think my sculpting skills are up to a decent looking tied off bandage.

Funnily enough, I'm working on a stretcher-bearer objective marker as we speak! Couldn't believe it when I opened your blog and this was here! Thanks for the tip on the baby wipe stretcher, I was trying to think of a material that would be suitable to use...

Fantastic! As a medic myself, I've always thought we needed more minis like this! I can't wait to see the finished version.

If you're still self-conscious about the bulk of the GS dressing, fine sand paper is great for this task.

Your GS looks great as-is, in my opinion, but just for future reference.

This would make a good objective...protect the injured or bring him home! Great!

Fantastic and inspirational work as always, Corbane! I'd imagine that it would be a cracking model for use in special scenarios or in the new Kill Team rules. Top notch work!

I am so stealing that idea.

@Sytus - Cheers matey, glad they've inspired you.

@Kings SB - Hopefully, it shouldn't take to long to paint up, I'm just painting the executioner at the moment.

@Frag Dad - Great minds matey! Baby wipes are excellent for modelling, just get a decent brand and avoid the ones with teddy bears imprinted on them.

@Troy SN - I was a medic as well mate, it's what inspired me to do this project.

@Mr Esty - Thanks for the tip matey.

@Rpthomps111 - I seem to be doing quite a few objective type models at the moment. I'll be glad to get stuck into my vets.

@Mordian7th - Cheers matey. I was thinking the same thing about kill team.

@Hal'jin - go for it mate, can't wait to see what you do.
