After getting to grips with the cloaks on my snipers, I decided that I'd have a go at coming up with my own marbo model. The things that I wanted to get across on the model was :-
1. He's an old school veteran who's outside the norms for the regiment.
2. He carries a custom pistol
3. He carries a demo charge
4. He's stealthy.
Let me know if you think I've hit the mark, any constructive criticism is welcome.

Looks great! I like the grizzled beard...like he's some crazy mountain-man militia climbing out of his cave to kill some Eldar. I love the hooded cape work too. Nice!
That's a nice Marbo... the demo charge he is carrying looks menacing. So how did your tournament go this weekend?
At first glance I wasn't sure but as I pondered it a bit more, I think it's a good way to go. The cloak, of course, is awesome and the other bits tie it up quite nicely.
I am officially requesting a tutorial on those cloaks...video style. The Imperium demands it!!!
Cheers!
Nice work on the pistol, methinks that looks a helluva lot better than marbo's cut down lasgun.
The cloak is fantastic, and the pistol and demo charge are definitely menacing. The only thing I feel is missing is marbo's 'envenomed blade', perhaps a hilt attached to the belt on left hip, as though the scabbard/blade was hidden within the folds of the cloak?
Great stuff, can't wait to see it painted up - keep up the great work!
Definitely like the pistol/demo/cloak but I think the large base kinda makes him look small - at least in that first pic.
He definitley looks like he's been out in the bush for a while...and also someone you don't want to mess with!
he looks great. Im with Mordian 7th, a blade would add that extra custom touch!!
Good conversion. I personally dislike the head- looks too beardy for me. The cloak is very good indeed- maybe not rigged enough for someone al loneyl acting as a Marbo character. On a second thought I would drop the cloak alltogether- but that is most likely the last thing you want to hear after modeling it that good. I hope I wasn't too negative. Keep up the good work.
You've gotten incredibly good at sculpting cloaks! I like the bearded look you've given Marbo. Seems like a break from the more traditional shaven-faced Rambo clones. The beard makes your Marbo look more like a loner...after all, why bother shaving if you're out there alone, in the wilderness?
Thanks guys.
Must admit I couldn't figure where the blade would go, with hindsight, the hilt idea is pretty good but I just want to get him painter now.
I'll see if I can get a tutorial put together on the cloaks, although videos are still a sore subject in our house.
@Fox - One win and two draws mate.
@CF - No worries mate, everyone can't like my models - lol
