Hi, I'm Corben

HI, I'm Corben

This is my first blog post. I have just started gaming with my dad. I like building dungeons with my dad.

We used special molds to make the bricks.

These are the bricks we made with the molds.

And this is my dungeon.

I can not wait to paint it.

Corporal Corben

NB - The lads first blog post, it'd be really good if he could feel the blogosphere community spirit in the comments if you get my meaning guys! - Col

Snap to Corporal!

Smashing job on the dungeon, you have quite a knack for laying out those tiles, lad. Like you said, now it needs a great paint job.

Keep up the good work!

Good one mate! Hirst Arts blocks are ace! For mine at the moment I have been mixing in some ink into the plaster mix (just cheap drawing ink from a craft store). It makes my blocks a grey-black colour. The advantage is that if I chip them the white plaster doest show through.

Do you have some other way to get around that issue?

Cool! I've always wanted to do that, but have been put off by space and weight concerns.

And good for you to get started with the building and terrain side of things first instead of miniatures! I'm sure that they'll come in due course, after all someone needs to explore these dungeons!

Hi Corben,

welcome to the blog world.
Your dungeon looks ace!
What do you think about those molds? They are super, aren't they?
What plaster did you use? And what are the few brownish bricks?
I look forward to see it painted.
Cheers

Great looking Dungeon there... I'm waiting for the day my son can play along with me.

I'll have to show him what you've been doing and I'll wait for him to ask me to get some of the Hirst Molds

Thank you for all the great replies.

The molds are from Hirst Arts and the plaster is Herculite 2.

The brown bricks are from plaster my nan gave us, it wasn't very good.

Way to go young man! That's better work than many adults I know are capable of doing. I bet you can't wait to get it painted and play with it. I can't wait to see it either!

Keep having fun,

Yeti

This stuff is amazing!

Corben, if you were ever to drag your dad down to the south west of England, you'd be most impressed by the extent and detail of some of our similar scenery at the club down here...

Keep it up, mate!
